Things we can't understand

Sukihotu,

It is very difficult to avoid people from blaming you for things you didn't do. You have no hands in it and yet, people blamed you for certain things and point the finger at you. This is very damaging. Things like this happened because of jealousy.

People are jealous of your success. They just could not stand you for getting all the attention and glamour while he did not. Due to jealousy, he talked behind your back. Spreading lies and poison other people's mind about you. They even write to your bosses. This stab right on your back and it's painful.

However, these things are natural phenomena. It happens to me all the time. And it will continue to happen as long as I live. In fact there are a few more natural phenomena you need to watch out for. They will come to you whether you like it or not. And when it comes, you need to be strong. You need to be as solid as a rock and do not let those things affect you. You should not be swayed. Watch you emotions (Vedena). Even though some of these winds are good things.

These are 4 pairs of Dhamma winds that we experience through out our lives. No matter if we a just a normal person on the street or a big shot in the society. Even Arahants and the Buddha also faced such phenomena. They are :-

Praise and blame.

Honor and disgrace

Gain and lost

Happiness and sadness

There is so many things we cannot understand. Especially, seeing the people we trust the most doing the wrong things even though they know it's not a right thing to do, and yet they commit to it.

I hope this helps. I wish you well and may you be wiser the next time these winds hits you.

Oh Allah, if only they knew...

Oh Allah, if only they knew…
If only they knew how beautiful Islam is
Then they’ll know how it is like to be in peace
If only they knew how amazing it feels to love You
They’ll stop questioning could this be true
If only they knew the joy to this wonderful Deen
They’ll stay in Faith and always be keen
If only they knew what they don’t understand
That they will all be gathered in the Promised Land
If only they knew what is right and what is wrong
They will sure be there standing strong
If only they knew that Islam is right
They will feel safe and secure under Your sight
If only they knew of our beloved Prophet (SAW)
They will run to You and ask to be purified

Oh Allah, give us the best of Taufiq & Hidayah upon us
Oh Allah, don’t leave any of us astray
Oh Allah, bring us closer to You and our Prophet (SAW)
Oh Allah, bring us all together and worship no one but You
Oh Allah, hear and fulfill this prayer that has always been with us
As there is no deity worthy to be worshipped but You, Oh Allah
And our Prophet Muhammad is Your servant and messenger.
We conclude with a humble prayer to You Oh Allah
May You cleanse the hearts and soul of those who are genuine seekers of truth
May You bless the community of believers
And May You guide us all to Your Jannah
Ameen Ya Rabb

In the Holy Qur’an, Allah (SWT) has stated:
“Truly, the religion on the sight of Allah is Islam.” (Surah Aali-Imraan (3):19)

In another verse of the Holy Qur’an, Allah has stated:
“And whosoever desires a religion other than Islam, never will it be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who are lost.” (Surah Aali-Imraan (3):85)

Muhammad, the Prophet of Allah (Peace and blessing of Allah be upon him), said:
“Islam is based on five pillars: Testifying that there is no God worthy to be worshipped but Allah, and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah and His servant; performing the prayer; paying the Zakat (obligatory charity); fasting the month of Ramadan and performing Hajj.”

Greed is embedded strongly in our system

Sukihotu,

Generosity is an important Buddhist practice. We have been taught to practice giving (dana). Giving can be in the form of money or kind. It also include services to others And when you are able to give, it reduces your greed (lobha).

In this video, you will notice, greed is embedded strongly in our system. When we owned somethings, it's hard for us to give away. It is shown here in this video, nearly all kids freaked out when their parents told them that they have eaten their candies.

But, if you watch till the end, you will see generosity in action. I'm sure you would agree that being able to share is lovely. When you are able to give-up things in life, you are in full control. Though you may feel some amount of pain, but you are better off.

Happy viewing...

War, exploitation, human trafficking, racism

War, exploitation, human trafficking, racism are some of the evils that has been and continue to be done as a result of not valuing correctly another human being.

By valuing another human being we do not mean in his potential in terms of slavery but in terms of freedom.

It is only through freedom and respect can a human being achieve his god given and true potential by making the fullest of his life.

It is thus essential that human beings look upon another human being as someone precious in terms of his future potential to the world. Someone to be helped rather than to be used.

A young starving child in some part of the world may hold the key within him to someday save mankind through his research or work.

He or she may be grateful of being saved by his fellow mankind and make it his or her mission to save mankind.

By feeding, clothing, sheltering, educating good values, employing and caring for this person; mankind and the world has a stronger chance of being saved from destructive acts of man.

While mankind cannot stops natural disasters, it can save from itself.

Here is the accompanying story

Washington 13/12/2012

Despite Malaysia's high-profile anti-corruption crusade, half of the corporate executives surveyed by a global corruption watchdog believe that competitors have obtained business in the country through bribery.

Transparency International said Malaysia scored worst in the 2012

Bribe Payers Survey. It asked nearly 3,000 executives from 30 countries whether they had lost a contract in the past year because competitors paid a bribe, and in Malaysia, 50% of them said 'yes'.
Second on the dubious honor roll was Mexico, which was at 48%.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Japan was ranked as the world's least-corrupt place to do business, with just 2% of respondents saying they had lost out due to bribery.

Malaysia's neighbour Singapore was second-cleanest, which was at 9%.
Even Indonesia, with a long-standing reputation for corruption, fared better than more-developed Malaysia.
By comparison, 27% of respondents in China said they thought bribes had cost them business, the report said.

"It shows the attitude of private companies in Malaysia, indicating that bribery in the public sector could be systemic and in a sense institutionalized," Paul Low, president of the Malaysian chapter of Transparency International, said.
